Perry Spencer RTC and Perry Spencer Communications (PSC Fiber)
Robocall Mitigation Efforts

To combat the origination of illegal robocalls on PSC Fiber’s network, PSC Fiber has implemented robocall mitigation efforts, at no additional charge to our customers, to monitor the network and to verify that calls originating over our network are from legitimate numbers belonging to a valid PSC Fiber customer.

The Perry Spencer RTC and Perry Spencer Communications (hereinafter “PSC Fiber”) robocall mitigation efforts to alleviate the origination of illegal robocalls on its network are described below.

Customer Interaction

PSC Fiber takes the following steps with respect to its customers to prevent originating robocalls.

  • PSC Fiber will verify new residential customers are legitimate by requesting specific personal information.
  • PSC Fiber verifies new business customers are legitimate by requesting specific company information.
  • PSC Fiber has adopted a Voice Services Acceptable Use Policy (VSAUP) that describes PSC Fiber actions taken if its network is used to originate illegal robocalls. The VSAUP is available on PSC Fiber’s website.
  • PSC Fiber encourages its customers to enroll in the Do Not Call Registry. The link to the registry is: www.donotcall.gov
  1. Robocall Mitigation Enforcement

Voice service users are prohibited from originating robocalls with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongly obtain anything of value from the recipient of the call.

PSC Fiber will block originating traffic identified as illegal robocalls and may terminate service entirely, in accordance with its Voice Services Acceptable Use Policy which prohibits use of telephone numbers for illegal robocalls and fraudulent purposes. Telephone numbers flagged as being used for illegal robocalls will be reported to the FCC and FTC. PSC Fiber is currently blocking the origination of all unallocated and unused PSC Fiber telephone numbers. PSC Fiber will cooperate with other telephone service providers, the FCC and law enforcement to trace the origin of suspected illegal robocalls and to stop illegal robocall activity.

  1. Traceback requests
PSC Fiber will fully comply and assist with all traceback requests from the industry traceback consortium (US Telecom) to trace the origin of suspected illegal robocalls.
